The Wayne County Fire District is a Special Service District that covers 2,471 square miles. In this area, we have 6 fire stations located in Loa, Lyman, Bicknell, Teasdale, Torrey, and Hanksville. Between those 6 stations, we have 65 volunteers who respond 24/7 to calls for help. We provide service to every city in Wayne County as well as all of the smaller communities in the unincorporated portion of the county. We also provide service to Capitol Reef National Park, which is a Class I airshed, Dixie National Forest, and Fishlake National Forest.
